Jan and I are packing for our third mission trip to Lima, Peru.
It has been our joy and privilege to travel to Peru with Truth Evangelistic Ministry for the past two years. More than anything, this third trip is about relationships–listening, learning, and loving in the name of Jesus. We will reconnect with some old friends and hopefully connect with some new.
Lima is a vibrant city full of culture, history, and incredible people. But like any major urban center, it also carries deep needs. Jan and I will be stepping into this space with open hands and willing hearts. We look forward to coming alongside Pastor Elger and his wife Cinthia to assist with the vibant ministry of their church.
We will be involved in their community outreach to places like Villa Maria (and underserved neighborhood), food distribution, and several children’s programs.
We will be involved in their church partnerships encouraging young married couples, seminarians, and preaching at the church in St. Rose. The main focus will be on the annual Pastor’s Conference on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Of course, we never know what doors God may open or ministry opportunites He will place before us. We ask for your prayer support. Pray that God will open to us meaningful ministry opportunities. We will do our best to update every day on our church Facebook page.
We look forward to sharing the stores, pictures, and testimonies of what God continues to do in Lima and the surrounding area. It is my prayer that God may use this trip to strengthen His church, expand our vision, and remind us that the gospel is for every nation, tribe and tongue.
This is my story…
