There is no doubt that when there is a need, and asked, North River overwhelmingly responds!!

I want to share a text I received from Dave (Papaw) from Dessie Scott.

“When you (North River) help you all go all out which is great and is appreciated.”

On Easter Sunday North River provided well over 100 white towels to be taken to the boys on the Dessie Scott campus. Over 30 pairs of blue jeans were donated. A local beauty salon (the one Jan goes to) provided six large bags of clothing for the women at the Buckhorn facility.

Through the generosity of some we are also delivering a golf cart to be used on the Dessie Campus. “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!’ seems to be an understatement in light of your willingness to go the extra mile to help meet the needs of others.

This Friday Art and I will be delivering the goods. I will take some pictures to share so all of us can enjoy the act of giving.

Jesus taught us to go the extra mile. I am so thankful to serve a church that enjoys doing just that!
